Kim named ambassador for Winter Youth Games

  The International Olympic Committee appointed Wednesday the 21-year-old Kim as an ambassador for the 2012 Winter Youth Games, along with Olympic ski champions Lindsey Vonn of the U.S. and Benjamin Raich of Austria.
  Kim’s role is to inspire and mentor the athletes competing at the Games while encouraging young people from all over the world to become more active in sports, according to the IOC.
  The figure skating star won Olympic gold at the 2010 Vancouver Games with a world record-beating score, and also helped PyeongChang win the bid for the 2018 Winter Olympics.
  Speaking through the IOC, Kim said that she was honored to become an ambassador for the inaugural Youth Winter Games.
  “Having competed as an athlete since a very young age, I can relate to the participants of Innsbruck 2012 and I hope I can share my knowledge, passion and experience to motivate them to reach their potential,” (Yuna Kim, KoreaHerald)

 

  I love Kim Yu-na that has helped promote youth to encourage their vision as sprots star.

  However, these days Kim Yu-na is acting more as an entertainer than sports athlete.

Of course, It is not to criticize her but so sorry as a big fan that I can't watch her performance.

  The 2012 Youth Winter Games are scheduled to take place from Jan. 13-22 in Innsbruck, Austria, and expected to attract more than 1,000 top athletes between ages 15 and 18 from 65 countries.
  I expect Yu-na's performance in this Game and she will also encourage a lot of youth to be an Olympic star.

Do you like coffee?

Usually, I drink some coffee when I have lunch outside of my school.

There are two places where I go frequently. The first is 'Cafe Bene' that the famous coffee chain store. The second is 'Good Seed' a little more far than Cafe Bene from school.

  Of course, the these two stores are the places which make coffee. And the interiors of 'Cafe Bene' and 'Good Seed' consist of wood and the dark yellow light are shining. Cafe Bene is really close to the school but Good seed is surely not so far from school, Actually, nearly no difference of distance.

  However, Cafe Bene got amount of tables and chairs with broad space. On the other hand, Good Seed has only two tables and four chairs. Cafe Bene is the chain store made by leading entertainment compan but Good Seed in managed just by a man who love coffee. Cafe Bene both has a lot of menu and the price is expensive. In spite of small store, Good Seed provide the best coffee taste with cheap price.

  I love Americano, is the name of coffee, and enjoy very frequently. Actually Cafe Bene's price is too expensive for me as student. The price of Americano is close to 4000won. This price is including the fee of luxurious place. Because I'm a student who has no time and money, usually I use Good Seed.

Whom would you go with for travel? Friends or Mother?

Still you got a lot stressful and timeless.  At least two of a day, we think "how wonderful if going to wherever right now?"

  Actually, I can't tell you to leave now. However, I know the great places you would love in our country. The one is Gangwon-do located in northeast of Korea. The other is Jeolla-do located in southwest of Korea. I did my military service in Gangwon-do and it is the place in which my uncle's resort pension 'Gajaewagom(www.gajaewagom.com) is. On the other hand, Jeolla-do is where I was born. I lived in there until a second year student. There is my grandmother's house of my mom's side and my present emotion was really affected from Jeolla-do. Those are missing place to me and got attractions as much as countless.

  Now, it's time to choose the only one place for your precious travel as you might not have much time. Then, let's move on!

 

  Both places have their own color of view. First, Jeolla-do is famous of blooming flowers at first time when the spring came in. Going cherry is always crowded with people every year. To feel warm as fast as possible after the winter, visit in Jeolla-do. Gangwon-do is still cold when Jeolla-do is ready for being warm. Scene with snow on the branches on a hugh mountain would make you feel carried unlike the cherry. It is best place for the people to go for vacation because the area of Gangwon-do almost consists of mountain. However, Jeolla-do is composed of broad plain.

  In this reasons, the color of Jeolla-do seems like the gold or the yellow but as you can feel, the color of Gangwon-do matches the hot red or white.

 

 

  What would you do after seeing the beautiful scene? You may hear the sound of being hungry. Kyungpode and Jumunjin are really famous of the food of fresh fishes. After eating a delicious the fresh shasimi, the spicy maeuntang will be waiting for you. The foods of Jeolla-do is the representative food in Korea. You would be difficult to pick up the one among many side dishes on table. You could feel the ‘Jeong(情)’ only existing in Korea.

 

  Is there place that you want to go in your mind? These days, I'm getting stressful due to preparing getting a job and many other complex things happened to me so I just hope to take a break with being comfortable. If you are same with me, Jeolla-do will be good selection because Jeolla-do is felt as a mother unlike Gangwon-do which is like the friends.

 

Sorry, Specs win Story

  Nowadays 'Story' is settled in common place already sure for students. I admit Story is a very strong tool than can appeal to company, not simply piling Specs. Branding myself through experiences and capabilities, not center in score, is surely attractive. However Story is actually packaged in vanity which has no consideration for students. Let's find out why do that for below some reasons.

 

  First, students have no time to prepare for Story. Usually students started preparing for getting jobs from junior. Moreover, Korean man began getting a job after army but there are not various opportunities which can experience what they like. Grade is not easy, too. Students should take classes average 17.5 points for filling 140points during 4years for graduation. It is too short time to prepare good story. Using a vacation? many students are busy to do part time jobs for their expensive registering fee. When on earth they are ready for Story? Preparing Story could make terrible result of no specs.

  Second, finally Story is constructed with specs. Books about stories show many examples which success in getting a job in spite of about 600 score of Toeic. They tell students being ready other things because 600 score of Toeic is enough for getting jobs. However reality is different. Reason that they could success in getting a job is because they have other enough specs for which could alternate. After all, Story is thing that gathered in specs.

 

  People who insist story should see students's situation more realistic. If you want to state Story, you would rather persuade postpone for graduation. Only if you are sure that Story can make high probability to success in getting a job. We should check whether students only pursue ideal story.

Story Wins Specs

  Stop! and think! why are you studying Toeic now? Is this really for getting job?

Nowadays most students finding jobs are studying Toeic, Certifications or for getting high score in grade. However these specs could not differentiate themselves from others. Because interviewer take lightly between grade score 3.5 and 3.9 or toeic score 820 and 870. You need to make something special only about you. If these small things are gathered, we call it "Story".

   It is the first important point for the story to have topic. Having topic means it has clear goal. Company want employees to have experiences for specific position.

The story gives certain subject like specific position, but just specs let employers have questions like "so why?", "so how?", "so what?".

   The story is more active than specs. The story has energy to let people do for what they want to be even though they are in difficult environment while the time to pile specs is just boring and requires only patience or endurance. The story is completed by experiencing wrestling against adversities but specs is completed only in the library.

   Finally, the story is forever. Did you see 'Cinderella' was disappeared?, but Toeic has expiration date in 2 years. where do you utilize toeic skills? English essay2 class would be much useful rather than memorizing toeic vocabularies.

   Some students could say that "It`s too late". I want to speak with them, if seeing that students, "You are standing in just starting point. Remember when you came in this school. Would you repeat again to fit your grade in the job? Find the thing that you really like and can be crazy. Your specs will become the plots in your story."

Don`t be afraid watching others piling specs. Now, let`s start to make your own story.

Oh my Jesus!

  From my boyhood I hated anything same as others and I was a boy who liked acting on the other way.
When my first day of university school came, older alumnus first I`ve met really loved a climbing mountain. He persuaded me and myfriends to go to the mountain. Finally we couldn`t reject his suggetion going to 'Do-Bong mountain' which is not so far from out school.

  The day came and we started to climb mountain. Fresh air, twittering birds and sound flowing made feeling refresh. But the characteristic still didn`t want to just follow him. Thus, I selected rough path insead of ordinary path in secret. I started climbing a hugh rock very slowly step by step. However, when I reached about middle of rock I couldn`t find a point that I could take a step anymore. Besides, it was impossible to go down on the way back. After some minutes went by, gradually my hands lost power to keep grabing and there was a deep cliff below my foot. Ultimately I decided to jump to the location where first I started going to avoid death in spite of getting damaged. At that instant, a grandfather`s voice was beginning above the rock and a real  grandfather looked me down standing on there. He said me to touch at specific point by hand. There, oh my jesus!, was a thing that I could grab. I could survive according to his directions. I buckled at my knees and just stared somewhere blankly. When recovering I couldn`t find him at there.
 
  I ran into place where my friends were and talked them as I was indifferent. Still I can`t believe how I could survive at that moment just can`t help guessing he might be a god. After that events, naver do I climb with inprudence.
